Want to know what your A1C means in day-to-day glucose numbers? Estimated average glucose (eAG) translates an A1C percentage into the average blood glucose it corresponds to, using the ADAG equation eAG (mg/dL) = 28.7 × A1C − 46.7 (divide by 18.0156 for mmol/L). An A1C of 7%, for instance, is about 154 mg/dL or 8.6 mmol/L, and equals roughly 53 mmol/mol in IFCC units.
